MIREx 2017

We are starting the 2017 Winter Term by announcing our 5th annual McMaster Interdisciplinary Research Exposition (MIREx) conference happening on Wednesday January 11!

For those who have never attended MIREx before, it is a 1-day research conference held in CIBC Hall (3rd floor MUSC), that consists of speaker sessions, interactive workshops and networking opportunities with professors and other students.

Each session consists of presentations by two different professors and is followed by a Q&A period and a networking break. This year's MIREx will focus on 4 key sessions: "What is research", "Human health through populations", "Inquiry Based Research: Evolution and the Brain", and "Today's research will save us tomorrow". Interactive workshops will run between the sessions, which will focus on helping students gain a better understanding of what research is, how to obtain a research position, and the opportunities that come with research!

We will be releasing more information regarding the speakers as the conference gets closer, but sign-up to reserve a spot as limited seating is available per session!
